Seville, (SONNA) — The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Salah Ahmed Jama, together with H.E. Ltr. Gen. Bashir Mohamed Jama, participated in the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development held in Seville, Spain. Somalia presented its strategic priorities during the Plenary Session.
The Deputy Prime Minister underlined Somalia’s commitment to sustainable development through genuine partnerships and modern climate-aligned financing. He reaffirmed Somalia’s readiness to serve as a model for transformative environmental investment.
The Minister highlighted Somalia’s urgent climate financing needs and the importance of tailored support. He thanked UNCDF and the Riyadh Global Drought Resilience Partnership for their role and called for a fair opportunity for Somalia to lead in climate adaptation and financing.
