Mogadishu — The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia today launched the first phase of a strategic communications training program focused on strengthening security messaging and public engagement.
The program, titled “Strategic Communications for Security: Enhancing Information Verification, Storytelling Skills, and Social Cohesion,” brings together media and public relations officers from government ministries and institutions, journalists from private media outlets, and youth influencers with a positive presence on social media.
The initiative aims to improve the quality and credibility of information dissemination, while equipping participants with skills in fact-checking, effective storytelling, and community engagement.
Officials say the training is also designed to raise awareness among young people and promote responsible media practices that uphold societal values and contribute to national stability.
