Prime Minister Hamza Receives Qatari Delegation in Mogadishu

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre received a Qatari government delegation led by Talal bin Rashid Al-Hajri, a senior adviser and director at Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The delegation is in Somalia to discuss investment opportunities in food production and healthcare. It also followed the signing of a multi-sector agreement with Somalia’s Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the delegation conveyed messages from the Qatari leadership to the Somali Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Hamza, accompanied by Qatar’s Ambassador to Somalia Abdullah bin Salim Al-Nuaimi, briefed the delegation on the Federal Government’s progress in strengthening security, expanding the economy and improving public services.
The Prime Minister also welcomed the strong diplomatic ties and growing cooperation between Somalia and Qatar, highlighting the importance of continued collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
