Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a meeting with a delegation led by the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, Minister Al Nahyan delivered a message from the President of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Mohammed Bin Zayed, reaffirming the strong bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between the two brotherly nations.
The visit follows a recent phone conversation between the two Presidents, in which they underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation and solidarity between their countries.
President Mohamud expressed his gratitude to the UAE government and its people for their continued support of Somalia, highlighting the UAE’s role in advancing development and standing by the Somali people.
For his part, Minister Al Nahyan thanked the Somali government for the warm reception and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing the historic ties between the two nations. He also emphasized the significance of Somalia-UAE cooperation in promoting regional stability and development.
