Baidoa, (SONNA) — The Somali Police Commander, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, today held a meeting with all Somali Police officers stationed in the temporary capital of South West State, Baidoa.
During the meeting, the Commander briefed officers on the current security situation in Baidoa following recent political changes in the region. He urged police officers to strengthen coordination with other security agencies and emphasized their responsibility for maintaining law and order within the city.
The police leadership also issued directives prohibiting civilians from carrying weapons in the city at night, with exceptions only for official security personnel, including the police and national intelligence units.
Abdifataax Aadan Xasan, spokesperson for the Somali Police, provided updates on the meeting, highlighting the force’s renewed focus on ensuring public safety in Baidoa in the wake of recent administrative changes.
