Tripoli, Libya — A high-level delegation led by the Minister of Youth and Sports of Somalia, parliamentarian Mohamed Barre Mohamud, arrived in Tripoli, the capital of Libya. The visit marks an important step in strengthening the fraternal relationship between the two countries.

Upon their arrival, Minister Mohamed Barre Mohamud and his delegation were warmly welcomed by Libyan officials. The reception reflects the close ties and shared interests between Somalia and Libya. The delegation includes officials from the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as Somali youth professionals.

  2. Arab Youth Capital Inauguration: Tripoli has been designated as the Arab Youth Capital for the year. The official inauguration ceremony will take place in the Libyan capital. Minister Mohamud’s involvement highlights Somalia’s engagement in regional initiatives aimed at promoting youth participation and development.

The visit serves as an opportunity for both countries to explore avenues for cooperation in youth affairs, sports, and cultural exchange. Minister Mohamed Barre Mohamud’s presence in Libya underscores the importance of fostering strong ties between Somalia and Libya.

As the Arab Youth Capital, Tripoli is poised to host various youth-focused events and activities throughout the year. Minister Mohamud’s active participation demonstrates Somalia’s commitment to regional collaboration and the well-being of its young population.
