Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National Army and the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia(ATMIS) on Monday conducted a joint security patrol in Donka, Malad, Haw-Habid, and Afgoye to counter Al-Shabaab activities in Lower Shabelle.
“The team led by Lt. Col. Charles Nyero of Battle Group 39 also secured the region’s Main Supply Route to ensure smooth movement of goods and services. ATMIS continues to mentor Somali Security Forces (SSF) to take over security responsibility of the country”, ATMIS said on X.
