Mogadishu, Somalia – The Somali Federal Government’s Ministry of Defense announced that the national armed forces are preparing to launch a major offensive to dislodge terrorist groups from several key areas across the country.

Speaking at the weekly meeting of the national media, the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Abuukar Mohamed, stated that government forces are on high alert and are organizing a large-scale operation against terrorist groups responsible for the theft of public property and the killing of innocent civilians.

“In the coming days, the Somali people will hear news that will bring them joy, which is that the enemy terrorists will be removed from many important areas and districts,” the spokesman for the Somali National Army said.

He further noted that the primary preparations for the offensive are focused on the Lower Shabelle, Middle Shabelle, and Galguduud regions. The official called upon all citizens residing in these regions to participate in the new operations aimed at clearing the remaining terrorist strongholds.

This announcement signals a renewed push by the government to secure the country and ensure the safety of its citizens.
