Mogadishu(SONNA):-Somalia’s newly appointed Ambassador to Tanzania, Ilyas Ali Hassan has officially presented his credentials to the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan . Speaking after the ceremony, Ambassador Elyas described it as a significant milestone marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission to strengthen the historic and excellent relations between Somalia and Tanzania.
He highlighted the honor of representing Somalia in Tanzania, a nation that plays a pivotal role in regional cooperation and serves as the headquarters of the East African Community. Ambassador Elyas also expressed his profound gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, for entrusting him with this important role. He acknowledged the support of leaders and colleagues who contributed to his appointment.
In his remarks, Ambassador Elyas reaffirmed his commitment to fostering deeper ties and collaboration between the two nations, concluding with gratitude and optimism for a successful mission.
