Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The spokesperson for Somalia’s Ministry of Defense, Sheikh Abuukar Mohamed, has provided details on recent military operations that dealt significant blows to militant groups in the Lower and Middle Shabelle regions.
Speaking to the National Media, the spokesperson confirmed that over 30 militants were killed in operations conducted on the outskirts of Sabiid and Caanoole in Lower Shabelle.
Additionally, Sheikh Abuukar Mohamed reported that coordinated air and ground operations near Raage Ceelle in Middle Shabelle resulted in the elimination of more than 40 militants. A military vehicle used by the group was also destroyed.
The Somali National Army, in collaboration with its partners, continues its offensive to dismantle militant strongholds and enhance security across the country.
