Bay (SONNA) – The Somali National Army’s Danab special forces, in collaboration with international partners, carried out a planned special operation last night, which took place in the Buula Fuleey area of Bay region, one of the largest and most important areas of the Al-Shabaab militants.
The forces targeted places where terrorist leaders were based, and during the operation, more than 20 members, including leaders and militias, were killed.
The forces also destroyed a radio station belonging to the Al-Shabaab terrorists located in the area.
This operation comes two days after some of the group’s top leaders were targeted in the Middle Juba region, and yesterday, the militants were defeated in an attack they launched in Wargaadhi area of the Middle Shabelle region.
