Bakool (SONNA): The Somali National Army (SNA) on Monday night conducted a planned military operation in the Moora-Gaabeey area, located 37 km from Xuddur in Bakool region.
The operation, which was carefully coordinated, resulted in the killing of more than three militants and the injury of over ten others belonging to the Al-Shabaab militants.
Troops from the SNA’s 9th Battalion under the 60th Division also recovered military equipment, including weapons and ammunition used by the extremist group.
Colonel Mohamed Yariis Adan, Commander of the 60th Division, told the Army Media that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate the threat posed by the Khawaarij and to strengthen security and protect civilians in the region.
