Mogadishu, (SONNA) – As part of the preparations for Somalia’s upcoming Independence and Unity Day commemorations, the Chairperson of the National Organizing Committee and Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, MP Ali Yusuf Ali-Hosh, together with the Minister of Livestock, MP Hassan Mohamed Elaay, visited Daljirka Dahsoon Square, where they spent time with citizens already gathering in patriotic spirit.

The ministers praised the enthusiastic participation of the Somali public and commended the Waaberi National Band, whose cultural performance featured inspirational and awareness-raising songs focused on national pride, unity, and the struggle for freedom.

The event is one of several public engagements taking place across Mogadishu in the lead-up to the formal celebrations of Somalia’s Independence and Unity Days.
