Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Cabdisalaam Cabdi Cali, held a high-level meeting today with the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNOPS, Mr. Jorge Moreira da Silva.
The meeting, which took place at the Deputy Prime Minister’s office, focused on strengthening collaboration between the Federal Government and UNOPS, particularly in the areas of climate change, security, health, energy, and the implementation of critical development projects aimed at improving the lives of the Somali people.
Both sides discussed enhancing UNOPS’s technical and financial support to Somalia, with the goal of accelerating government-led efforts to improve public services and ensure long-term national stability.
