Riyadh (SONNA) – Saudi Arabia has ranked second globally and first in the Arab world among donor countries for humanitarian aid in 2025, according to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service (FTS).
The Kingdom led all donors in humanitarian assistance to Yemen, accounting for 49.3 percent of total aid, and ranked second globally in aid provided to Syria.
A recently released 2024 report on development assistance shows that Saudi Arabia ranks second among 16 non-member donor countries and tenth globally in aid volume among all 48 donor countries, including both members and non-members.
Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor-General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, said the Kingdom’s leading position in humanitarian work reflects its enduring commitment to generosity and the protection of human dignity.
He noted that these figures are documented in real time on the Saudi Aid Platform, the largest humanitarian aid platform in the region. This transparent approach, supported by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has played a key role in achieving these international rankings and delivering tangible global impact.
Dr. Al Rabeeah emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains a steadfast source of humanitarian support and a symbol of goodwill, reaffirming its leadership’s commitment to assisting people in need around the world.
