Mogadishu (SONNA): Hundreds of residents in the Mirinaayo neighborhood of Kaaraan district staged a large demonstration in support of the Federal Government of Somalia and the ongoing one-person-one-vote electoral process across the country.
Participants in the rally praised the government’s efforts to improve security, address land-related disputes and accelerate democratic reforms based on direct elections.
The demonstrators stated that Kaaraan district is currently enjoying improved security and warned against any attempts to undermine stability or create divisions between the public and the government.
Residents also reaffirmed their support for the electoral process, calling for continued efforts to strengthen peace, social unity and national development across Somalia.
