Belgrade, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, today held a fruitful meeting in Belgrade with his Serbian counterpart, H.E. Đuro Macut, where the two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in key areas including trade, investment, security, education, and healthcare.
At the Serbian Presidential Palace, Prime Minister Hamza and his delegation were received with high-level honors. During the visit, Somalia and Serbia signed a cooperation agreement focused on the health sector.
Prime Minister Hamza underscored that Somalia offers vast investment opportunities, particularly in the blue economy, agriculture, and livestock, which present valuable prospects for Serbian investors.
He extended an invitation to the Serbian government and business community to visit Somalia, with the aim of further expanding cooperation and exploring viable avenues for investment.
Prime Minister Hamza expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Macut and the Government of Serbia for the warm welcome extended to him and his delegation, affirming Somalia’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties between the two nations.
