Cairo, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre who arrived in Cairo, the capital of Egypt is participating in the Arab League Summit and is expected to deliver a speech at the summit.
The Prime Minister’s speech will point on Somalia’s position on the issue of the Palestinian people, and will again declare that the Federal Government of Somalia totally refuses the saying of the Israelis that they want to displace the Palestinian people.
The Arab League summit is set to convene in the Egyptian capital Cairo on Tuesday in a bid to adopt a political and reconstruction plan for post-war Gaza.
The Arab countries coming together will focus their discussions on how to rebuild Gaza and give the Palestinian people their land back, focusing on the proposed two state solution.
The summit, which will begin at 3pm local time, will provide a response to US President Donald Trump’s displacement plan announced in February which was staunchly rebuffed by the region.
The summit comes after Israel re-imposed a blockade on Gaza during on the second day of Ramadan in a bid to pressure Hamas to accepting an extension of phase one of the ceasefire, a policy which has been labelled “collective punishment” by aid agencies.
