Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre today visited the headquarters of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency to review its key services for Somali citizens.
During the visit, he received briefings from the Minister of Internal Security and agency officials on passport issuance, the newly introduced e-Visa service, and the modernization of citizen data management systems.
The Prime Minister commended the agency’s staff for their ongoing efforts, emphasizing the institution’s critical role as the gateway in and out of Somalia, reflecting the nation’s reputation and dignity.
“You hold great responsibility for the country’s finances, security, travel facilitation, and border protection. You are tasked with serving the public efficiently and transparently,” Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre said.
