Mogadishu (SONNA) –Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre and his delegation have embarked on a trip to Iraq. The visit comes after an official invitation from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed Shiaac Al-Sudaani.
During their stay in Baghdad, the Somali delegation will engage in high-level meetings with Iraqi leaders. The discussions will focus on enhancing the longstanding brotherly ties between Somalia and Iraq. Key areas of cooperation, including the economy, security, and shared interests, will be on the agenda.
Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre aims to explore opportunities for economic collaboration between the two nations. Additionally, security matters will be addressed, emphasizing the need for joint efforts in maintaining stability in the region.
