Algiers, Algeria | SONNA: President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria officially received the credentials of Yusuf Hassan Ahmed (Yusuf Jeego), the newly appointed Somali Ambassador to Algeria, in a formal ceremony held today at the presidential palace in Algiers.
The event was attended by Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Diaspora, Mohamed Ataf, as well as the State Minister of the Presidential Palace, Bo’laan. The ceremony emphasized the diplomatic relations between Algeria and Somalia, highlighting the importance of strengthening bilateral ties.
Ambassador Yusuf Hassan Ahmed, also known as Yusuf Jeego, now assumes his role as Somalia’s top diplomatic representative in Algeria. His appointment marks a continued effort to enhance cooperation between the two nations in areas of mutual interest, including trade, security, and regional stability.
Algeria has historically supported Somalia in various international forums, including the African Union and the United Nations. The meeting signals a renewed commitment to fostering deeper diplomatic and economic collaboration.
