President Hassan Sheikh Warmly Welcomed in Tripoli, Libya

Tripoli, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Tripoli, the capital city of Libya, for an official visit aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations between the two nations.

At Tripoli’s airport, President Mohamud and his delegation were warmly received by high-ranking Libyan officials. The President expressed his gratitude to the Libyan government and people for their commitment to reinforcing the long-standing relationship between Somalia and Libya.

During his stay in Tripoli, President Mohamud is scheduled to meet with the Leader of the Libyan High Council, Mr. Mohamed Al-Manfi, to discuss regional issues and shared interests between the two countries.

Additionally, the two leaders will deliberate on enhancing cooperation in areas such as security, politics, combating human trafficking, and the repatriation of Somali youth facing hardships in Libyan prisons.
