Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud the Speaker of the House of the People, H.E Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe), the Prime Minister, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre and other senior officials have extended their heartfelt condolences following the death of Sultan Abdiqadir Haji Mahmoud, who served as the Second Vice President of the Jubbaland State.
In his message, the President praised the late Sultan’s contributions to peacebuilding, national unity, and state formation, describing him as a respected elder who played a vital role in Somalia’s reconciliation efforts.
President Hassan Sheikh offered special condolences to the Sultan’s family, relatives, and the people of Jubbaland, praying that Allah grants the deceased Jannatul Firdaws and bestows patience and faith upon his loved ones and the Somali nation.
The passing of Sultan Abdiqadir marks the loss of a prominent traditional leader whose legacy in community leadership and national dialogue will be remembered across Somalia.
