Mogadishu, SONNA — President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Thursday evening visited one of Mogadishu’s recreational areas, where he met and interacted with members of the community living in the capital.
During the visit, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud shared refreshments with citizens and took part in various recreational activities alongside young people present at the venue.
The President praised the youth for their positive and constructive role in maintaining peace, strengthening social cohesion, and contributing to the reconstruction and development of the country.
He emphasized the importance of creating safe public spaces that encourage community interaction and youth engagement, noting that such environments play a vital role in fostering unity and resilience in society.
The visit reflects the President’s continued engagement with citizens and his commitment to supporting youth as key partners in Somalia’s peacebuilding and development efforts.
