Addis Ababa, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the margins of the 38th AU Summit in Addis Ababa.
They discussed progress in Somalia’s ongoing fight against international terrorism, the AUSSOM Mission, and the UN’s vital role for security, stabilization and development.
They also exchanged views on pressing regional peace and security matters. The President reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to working closely with the UN and acknowledged the Secretary-General’s continued support.
