Adan Yabal, (SONNA) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud arrived in Adan Yabal, Middle Shabelle region, to meet with military commanders leading operations against militant groups.
The Commander-in-Chief will lead and reinforce the ongoing offensive aimed at eradicating international terrorists. Later, the President will hold discussions with top military brass to review the new military operations in the area.
President Mohamud was warmly received by senior military officials, including Somali National Army (SNA) Commander Gen. Odawaa Yusuf Rageh, Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Abdullahi Mohamed Ali and Military Court Chairman Col. Hassan Ali Nur Shuute, who have been coordinating the intensified offensives from the area.
The President is expected to proceed to Moqokori in the Hiiraan region, where he will meet with SNA commanders and leaders of the local forces (Macawiisley) supporting the armed forces in the fight against the Al-Shabaab militants.
