Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Hamza Abdi Barre, praised the achievements of the Somali National Army (SNA) and local forces in their ongoing efforts to eradicate Al-Shabaab militants hiding in various areas of Hiiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
The Prime Minister stated that the brave soldiers sacrificing their lives to defend their country and people would be remembered with honor in history. He emphasized that the fight against Al-Shabaab militants would continue relentlessly, as they misrepresent religion, shed the blood of civilians, and destroy the wealth of the Somali people.
“I commend the continuous victories of the brave Somali heroes of the Somali National Army and the local forces on the front lines. They have inflicted heavy losses on Al-Shabaab militants, cleared many areas where they were hiding, and relieved the Somali people from their torment, bringing them under the shelter of statehood,” said Prime Minister Hamza.
Prime Minister Hamza reiterated that the DanQaran government is committed to purging the country of Al-Shabaab militants who oppose Somalia’s peace and delivering essential services to the communities, as the militants are obstructing any progress for the people and the nation.
This statement highlights the government’s resolve to eliminate the Al-Shabaab threat and ensure the safety and development of Somalia.
