Moqokori, Hiran – (SONNA) – The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international partners, conducted a successful operation in Moqokori district of Hiran region, killing three senior leaders of the Kharijite militants.
Among those eliminated was Abdi Hiray, a notorious figure responsible for orchestrating several terrorist plots across the Hirshabelle State areas. His death marks a significant blow to the group’s operations in central Somalia.
Security officials confirmed that the ongoing joint operations continue to target Kharijite hideouts, with multiple areas cleared and key members neutralized. “The National Security Forces, together with our international partners, remain committed to eradicating the Kharijite menace and restoring peace to liberated areas,” the statement noted.
The government emphasized that these operations form part of the broader national campaign to defeat terrorism and protect Somali citizens from extremist threats.
