Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Director General of the Mogadishu International Port, Mr. Mohamed Ali Nur (Ameriko), announced that Mogadishu Port was ranked the second fastest-growing port in East Africa in 2024.
Speaking to port employees, he emphasized the need to strengthen performance and fully implement key operational sectors. He urged staff to demonstrate diligence and prioritize assigned tasks to enhance efficiency and sustain the achievements made.
This success comes after strong competition with major regional ports including Mombasa (Kenya), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), and Djibouti. Mogadishu Port remains a strategic hub vital to both regional and international trade.
