Mogadishu, Somalia — The Central Division Police Command of the Banadir region has launched a successful, large-scale security operation in the Abdiaziz district, significantly enhancing the safety and security of residents. This proactive initiative, a coordinated effort by various security agencies, focused on a systematic and effective approach to curbing illegal activities and creating a safer urban environment.
The mission was led by Colonel Duale Aadan Hashi, the commander of the Banadir region’s central division, and Lieutenant Osmaan Mohamed Nur Osmaan Gaab, the police station commander of the Abdiaziz district. Forces were strategically deployed throughout the area, ensuring comprehensive coverage and a visible commitment to public protection.
The primary objective of the operation was to establish a secure environment that facilitates the free movement of both vehicles and the public, particularly along the vibrant Liido beach. During a press briefing, Colonel Hashi highlighted the armed forces’ critical role in protecting citizens and maintaining order across all districts under the central division’s jurisdiction.
