Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Dr. Hassan Mohamed Hussein (Muungaab), has officially inaugurated four newly constructed asphalt roads in the October ward of Hodan District. The project was jointly implemented by the local community, the district administration, and the Mogadishu Municipality.
Mayor Muungaab said the new roads will significantly contribute to the capital’s development and announced that further projects are underway to build key roads and reopen blocked streets in areas with no major security threats, in order to ease public movement.
He urged residents to actively participate in the city’s ongoing reconstruction efforts, the restoration of its beauty, strengthening security, and advancing democratisation — enabling citizens to elect their leadership from the district to the regional level.
