Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Moallim Mohamud, has presented the “Somalia Legal Aid Bill” to the Upper House of the Federal Parliament.
Minister Hassan Moallim explained that the bill aims to provide legal assistance to citizens who cannot afford legal fees and those who lack access to the justice system. He emphasized that ensuring equal access to justice is a key priority, particularly for vulnerable communities.
The proposed legislation is part of ongoing efforts to reform Somalia’s judicial system and improve legal protections for all citizens. The minister urged senators to review and pass the bill, highlighting its importance in strengthening the country’s justice sector.
