Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, on Saturday evening in Jeddah held talks with his Tunisian counterpart, H.E. Mohamed Ali Nafti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), convened to discuss developments related to the situation in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
During the meeting, the two ministers addressed Israel’s illegal recognition of the so-called “Somaliland” in northwestern Somalia and firmly rejected any actions that undermine the unity and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. They also stressed the importance of upholding international law and expressed support for all efforts aimed at preserving national cohesion and enhancing stability in the country.
