Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, has praised the Somali diaspora for their crucial role in the country’s recovery and development.
In a speech organized by the Ministry’s Department of Diaspora and Community Affairs, Minister Fiqi highlighted the diaspora’s significant contributions to national rebuilding, investment, and reconstruction efforts. He also announced the ongoing construction of the Somali Diaspora Affairs Management Center, set to be completed within a few months.
The Minister encouraged Dr. Mohamed Hussein Gaas, Director of the Department of Diaspora and Community Affairs, to strengthen cooperation with the diaspora and returnees, recognizing their impact on Somalia’s progress.
