Las’anod, (SONNA) — The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, convened a consultative meeting with Garaad Mukhtar Garaad Ali Buraale and Sultan Mustafe Mahmoud Aw-seed, two respected traditional leaders from the North Eastern State of Somalia. The engagement aimed to strengthen coordination between the federal government and local leadership, particularly on matters of governance, reconciliation, and community cohesion.
During the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive dialogue and acknowledged the critical role traditional leaders play in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued collaboration in advancing stability and promoting effective state-building efforts that reflect the needs and voices of the people on the ground.
