Mogadishu (SONNA): Members of the National Drought Committee and officials from the Office of the Prime Minister met with the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia H.E Mehmet Yilmaz today on Thursday, SONNA reported.
The National Drought Committee briefed the Ambassador on the recent updates regarding the drought situation in the country and thanked the Turkish government for its continued support to the People and Government of Somalia.
On his Part, The Turkish ambassador shared with the committee the recent updates of Turkish government’s efforts for the drought relief , promising to share the related info with the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, governmental and non-governmental organizations to increase the efforts and create awareness to provide an immediate assistance to those affected by the drought in Somalia.
