Minister of Foreign Affairs Participates in High-Level Panel at the Dubrovnik Forum

Dubrovnik, (SONNA) — H.E.Abdisalam Ali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, participated in a high-level panel discussion at the Dubrovnik Forum titled “Supply Chains and Trade Under Fire: Maritime Security at a Point of No Return?” The panel brought together senior government officials, diplomats, and international experts to discuss the impact of evolving geopolitical developments on maritime security, global trade, energy security, and the resilience of international supply chains.
During the discussion, the Minister reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation to enhance maritime security, safeguard freedom of navigation, and ensure the uninterrupted flow of global trade.
He highlighted Somalia’s strategic location along key international maritime routes and underscored the importance of collective action in addressing shared maritime challenges. Somalia’s participation reflects its commitment to advancing multilateral cooperation and contributing to international efforts that promote peace, security, and sustainable economic development.
