Baghdad, SONNA — The President of Iraq’s Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, has held talks with the President of the American University in Baghdad, Bradley Cook, focusing on proposals to enhance the development of law students through practical training.
According to a statement issued by the Judicial Council, the meeting took place on Monday and centered on strengthening collaboration between the judiciary and academic institutions.
The discussions highlighted the importance of equipping law students with hands-on experience, particularly through practical application within court systems, to better prepare them for professional legal practice.
Both sides emphasized the value of bridging theoretical education with real-world judicial experience, aiming to build a more competent and skilled generation of legal professionals.
