Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi received the chargé d’affaires of the Republic of Sudan Amar Ahmed, for a discussion on the situations of the two countries, bilateral relations and more.
Amb. Amar Ahmed thanked the government and the people of Somalia for their support and partnership of Sudan, adding that he wishes to see more government policies regarding Sudanese nationals in Somalia.
On the other hand, Minister Fiqi, stated that the government of Somalia is closely monitoring the situation in Sudan, reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to the legitimate government of Sudan and the rule of law.
The Minister also touched on the historic relationship between the Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Sudan, adding that Somalia is happy to welcome Sudanese individuals, professionals and investors into it’s cities and communities.
