Mogadishu, Somalia — The Independent National Electoral Commission and the Boundaries Commission have appointed Ms. Amina Sheikh Osman Mohamed as the Interim Chairperson. This decision was made during a meeting held in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Ms. Mohamed, the oldest member of the Independent National Electoral and Boundaries Commission has been appointed in accordance with Article 12, Paragraph 3 of the Law Establishing the Independent National Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
This appointment marks a significant step in ensuring the continuity and stability of the Commission’s operations as it navigates the complexities of electoral processes and boundary delineations in Somalia.
