Adado, (SONNA) — The Chairman of Habeeb Psychiatric Hospital, Dr. Abdirahman Ali Awale “Habeeb,” arrived in Adado with a specialized medical team to provide treatment and consultations for patients suffering from mental and psychological disorders.
The delegation was welcomed by local health officials, including the Director of Habeeb Hospital’s Adado branch, Mr. Sharif Fagaso, who told national television that the initiative has already contributed to the treatment of several patients and will continue during the team’s stay.
Dr. Abdirahman noted that Habeeb Psychiatric Hospital inaugurated its first facility in May 2024, which has since treated about 900 patients from different regions, including Ethiopia’s Somali region, Puntland, and Somaliland. He added that a new month-long intensive treatment program begins today, supported by a full medical team.
Founded on November 24, 2005, Habeeb Psychiatric Hospital is among Somalia’s leading institutions in the field, operating four main centers in Mogadishu and its outskirts that provide care and rehabilitation for around 600 inpatients aged between 17 and 33.
