Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, H.E Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale), chaired the meeting of the Relief Coordination Forum in Banadir Region which was organized by the Department of Relief and Disaster Management of Benadir Regional Administration and warned people who are taking advantage of the poor.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the law with the institutions and individuals who benefit from the aid grants intended to support the displaced people and the disadvantaged in the districts of the Banadir Region.
The Director of the Relief and Disaster Management Department of Banadir Region, Mr. Muhuddin Mohamud Abdullahi (Oogle) has indicated that the department has prepared a transparent system that needs to be implemented and will facilitate the prevention of aid-related fraud.
The governor of Banadir has sent a strong warning to brokers and individuals who profit from aid donations intended for vulnerable people and displaced people.
