Mogadishu(SONNA)-The Federal Government of Somalia on Tuesday reacted baseless news disseminated on social media which was against the wellbeing of our SNA soldiers having training in some of the friendly countries in abroad, SONNA reported.
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, H.E. Osman Abukar Dubbe said the news was false and politically motivated issue.
“There are no Somali soldiers who fought in Ethiopia’s northern region of Tigray, and we were not asked troops by Ethiopian Government” , Mr. Dubbe said.
He added that those spreading such propaganda are against Somalia having strong force capable of its security.
Government’s reaction comes hours after social media users spread rumors that some Somali soldiers were missed in action after taking part the war in Tigray region.
