Bakool, (SONNA) — Four Al-Shabaab militants surrendered to the South West State of Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Xudur, the capital of Bakool region.
All of the surrendering individuals, who were part of what the group calls “brigades,” stated that they could no longer endure the harsh life imposed on them by Al-Shabaab in the bush.
Security forces across Bakool region have recently conducted operations under the campaign named “Common Storm,” which pressured the militants in the area to surrender to the government.
