Matabaan, Hiraan Region – The administration of Matabaan district recently laid the foundation stone for the new surgical department at the district hospital. The event, attended by district governor Bashir Abdirahman Shekeeye and other officials, marks a crucial step toward enhancing healthcare services in the region.
Matabaan district health chief, Amina Dahir Ashoor, emphasized the importance of this construction project. Speaking to national media, she highlighted the urgent need for a dedicated surgery unit to serve the local population. The community had submitted a request for this essential service, prompting action from parliamentarians and politicians representing the region.
