Doha, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdullahi Ali, paid an official visit today to the Somali Embassy in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the critical functions carried out by Somali diplomatic missions abroad. The Minister was warmly received by Somalia’s Ambassador to Qatar, H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Sheikh Ali (Doodishe), who provided a briefing on the Embassy’s operations and the services it delivers to the Somali community in Qatar.
Minister Abdisalam is leading a high-level delegation attending the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group meeting on Somalia, where discussions will center on the country’s current situation and strategies to boost support from OIC member states.
