Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Bihi Iman Igeh thanked the Senate for passing the Insurance (Takaful) Bill, Income Tax Bill, Revised Financial Institutions Bill and Revised Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist financing Bill.
“These Bills will be formally enacted into law upon the signature of H.E. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud,” Minister Igeh said.
The laws will serve as the key anchors for advancing Somalia’s economic reforms, strengthening the financial sector, attracting investment, and, crucially, growing the economy to create opportunities for the Somali people.
