Dubai, (SONNA) – The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Bihi Iman Igeh, participated in the opening of the 9th Annual Meeting of Arab Financial Institutions, focused on economic development. The summit, held in Dubai, coincided with the World Governments Summit.
In his address, Minister Bihi highlighted Somalia’s economic development strategies and the government’s investment priorities under the Dan Qaran administration. He reaffirmed Somalia’s commitment to financial reforms and modernizing domestic revenue systems to drive sustainable economic growth.
IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva also spoke at the event, urging Arab nations to create economic opportunities that support recovery efforts and foster development in emerging economies.
