Mogadishu, Somalia – The Deputy Chair of the National Committee for the Commemoration of Independence and Unity Day, who also serves as Minister of Environment, MP Bashir Mohamed Jama, chaired a high-level meeting of the committee on Sunday evening in the capital, Mogadishu.
The meeting, hosted by the Minister of Livestock, Hassan Hussein Mohamed (Eelay), focused on the importance of Independence and Unity Day, strategies for its commemoration both inside the country and among the diaspora, and ways to accelerate preparations for the national celebrations. The discussions highlighted the vital role of government institutions in ensuring a successful and inclusive national observance.
Participants included the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Minister of Agriculture, the State Minister for Education, the State Minister for Defense, and the Deputy Minister of Information.
