Mogadishu, (SONNA) — Yaqshiid district in the Banadir region hosted a meeting to discuss security, community integration, and cooperation between residents and the Somali Police Force. The gathering was held in line with a directive previously issued by Somali Police Force Commander Brig. Gen. Asad Osman Abdullahi.

Police spokesperson Abdifitah Aden, providing details about the meeting, said: “We have launched programmes in the districts of Banadir to strengthen ties between the community and the Somali Police Force.” The event brought together officials from the Banadir regional administration and senior police officers, with the key objective of reinforcing cooperation between the public and the police and facilitating the exchange of vital security information.

During the meeting, residents were urged to support security operations and promptly report any concerns to the Somali Police Force. Yaqshiid District Commissioner Suleyman Mahmoud (Fargax) called on the community to share with security agencies any matter they believe could threaten public safety.
